Monyee Chau

Artist, illustrator, storyteller

Monyee Chau is an interdisciplinary, queer Chinese/Taiwanese American artist. They hold a BFA from Cornish College of the Arts in 2018, with their practice of exploring a journey of healing through reconnecting with their roots and ancestors through multiple mediums focusing on themes of labor. They’ve exhibited in museums and galleries internationally, including the Wing Luke Museum, Museum of Northwest Art, Bellevue Arts Museum, and Copelouzos Museum. They have been named as one of the 100 Changemakers by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and of the 100 Taiwanese Americans, and rewarded the 2021 Arc Artist Fellowship.
