Session: What Racism Costs Us All
4 p.m. Friday, May 7
From repeated financial meltdowns to expanding income inequity, the American economy keeps failing the American public. Heather McGee, author of The Sum of Us, proposes a common root problem: racism. But it doesn’t just impact people of color. Racism costs for white people, too. It connects our most complex public problems. How did we get here? Can we find a way out? This conversation will be moderated by Michael Harriot.
