Cancellation of the 2020 Crosscut Festival & Headliners Gala

With community health and safety as our first and foremost priority, Cascade Public Media (CPM), home of KCTS 9 and Crosscut, has decided to cancel the 2020 Crosscut Festival and Headliners Gala.

We are disappointed to cancel the events, but we are currently working on ways to surface the important conversations and civic dialogue that take place during the Crosscut Festival. We will be following up with more details in the days ahead.  We also plan to be back bigger and better than ever in 2021!

This decision was reached following Governor Jay Inslee’s announcement of a ban on gatherings of more than 10 people, which specifically calls out the cancellation of fundraisers and festivals in King, Snohomish, and Pierce counties.

In the meantime, like many nonprofit organizations, events like the Crosscut Festival and Headliners Gala bring vital funding to our programs and services. We would like to thank our sponsors and partners for all of their support of this event. For those that have already purchased a ticket, we hope you will consider making your ticket a 100% tax deductible donation.  We will also honor refunds by request by e-mailing festival@crosscut.com – please put “Refund Request” in the subject line and include your full name.

As we all navigate these uncertain times, you can count on Crosscut for on-going coverage of the coronavirus as well as our full slate of in-depth reporting that is uniquely Northwest.  KCTS 9 will continue to offer quality, trusted programming, including daily reporting updates from the PBS Newshour.

Thank you for your continued support of our organization, and, on behalf of everyone at CPM, we wish you well.
